Just enunciating the words on pages of a book, even if it is done flawlessly, in no way results in a high-quality, professionally produced audiobook that people want to buy in order to hear! Not by a longshot! That’s why many a Christian author after having tried to produce an audiobook on their own, have either quit in the middle of the project after they realize how much time, effort, energy, and other indefinable intangibles is required to produce a book-length audiobook, or if they actually finished their first self-read project, afterwards said, “NEVER AGAIN!” And, the learning curve and knowledge acquisition curve regarding all the elements of reading, recording, editing, packaging, marketing, and promoting an audiobook, is humongous, as well! Until you’ve done it, you have no idea what all producing an audiobook will require from you—and actually not just you, but more than likely your entire family and ministry staff if you have one.
